Afghan Envoy Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal Meets with PTI Chairman Imran Khan

Islamabad: The Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal met with Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran khan at his residence in Islamabad Bani Gala on Tuesday. Both Imran khan and afghan ambassador discussed present Pak afghan relations after the clash on Torkham Border.

Afghan Envoy on the occasion conveyed the reservations of his country regarding the reports of harassments of afghan refugees specifically in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the country. Responding the concerns of Afghanistan Pakistan Tehrik Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa serving the afghan refugees from three decades and there is no reality in the news of harassments of afghan refuges. Imran khan also assured the Afghan envoy that the Afghan refugees would not be harassed.

The two sides also agreed to arrange meeting of Afghan envoy with KP chief minister Pervez Khattak and IGP Nasir Khan Durrani to discuss the issues of Afghan refugees, according to official Face book page of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.

Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTI) chairman underlined the significance of close cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan and stressed the need to enhance these relations through people to people contacts and regular interactions of relevant institutions of both countries.

PTI chairman said that enduring partnership between Afghanistan and the KP government was essential for peace and development in the region, Khan emphasized on special focus on inter-governmental links; political engagements, security and counter-terrorism cooperation, and deeper trade and economic ties would help both governments to combat the challenges of poverty, ignorance and lawlessness within their domains.
