Islamabad: The president of Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan while lauding the Bohra Community Karachi Investors for showing interest to invest in different industrial sectors in AJK particularly in tourism, energy, minerals and pharmaceutical industry has said that AJK provides the best possible environvent for the investers to invest in phamaceutical and mineral industry.
According to the press release the AJK president has said this while addressing a luncheon held for the visiting delegation at President House Muzaffarabad. The delegation comprising leading investors and traders of Bohra Community that revisited the capital of the State on the other day and showed interest in investment after having been satisfied on the law and order and security situation in AJK. The Legislative Assembly Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir, AJK minister for Industry and social welfare Noureen Arif and representatives of traders body Azad Kashmir were present on the occasion.
AJK President while highlighting the abdunce of the natural resources and law and order situation across the state impressed upon the delegates to invest in the pharmaceutical industry as medicinal plants are largely found in the Neelum Valley , adding that environment and the land in valley is the most suitable for cultivation of medicinal plants.
Khan said that Neelum valley is full of other natural resources that include white marble and granite that could be exported abroad at a large scale. He said that AJK offers great investment opportunities in different sectors like tourism, agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, housing and land development. He said that foreign investment in the region would greatly help to overcome the surging unemployment in the area.
Meanwhile the President inaugurated newly constructed President Secretariat with the cooperation of Chinese assistance in Muzaffarabad. The 3-story building has 55 rooms and has been built at a cost of 90 crore rupees under reconstruction programme. He expressed thanks to Democratic Republic of China, Pakistan, and ERRA/SERRA for construction of President Secretariat with modern facilities.
