APHC delegation briefs NCHR head about Human Rights violations in Kashmir

Islamabad: A high level delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC)Azad Kashmir Chapter led by Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement vice chairman Altaf Ahmad Bhat met with Justice® Ali Nawaz chowhan chairman National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) here in Islamabad on Thursday. The delegation was comprised syed Faiz Naashbandi, Mrs Shamima Shawl, Engineer Mushtaq Mahmood, Abdul Majeed Malik and Sheikh Abul Mateen.

The delegation of APHC briefed the head of NCHR about the current situation of Indian controlled Kashmir. They informed that the Indian occupied forces are using chemical Gases and pellet guns against unarmed and innocent civilians in Kashmir. Altaf Ahmad Bhat told that the most of the victims of these brutal weapons are youth and women. More than 200 most of them youth have been deprived from their eyesight through pellet guns while death toll is increasing every day.

The delegation appreciated the efforts made by PM nawaz sharif regarding present struggle of Kashmir people but suggested that government should mobilize all its diplomatic missions abroad to enhance pressure on India. Pakistan avails the opportunity to highlight the Kashmir issue in coming session of United Nations in September.

Justice® Ali Nawaz chowhan chairman National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) on the occasion assured the APHC delegation all possible diplomatic support form his institution. He said we will highlight present atrocities of Indian forces in Kashmir at international level and during the coming session of United Nations annual gathering. Justice® Ali Nawaz chowhan informed the APHC delegation that he has already written a letter to the holiness the reverend Pope Francis about the human right violations of Indian Forces in Kashmir.

NCHR head also appreciated the sacrifices rendered by Kashmir people as a nation and said the day is not far when kashmiri nation will be given the right of self determination to decide their future according to united nations resolutions and aspirations of people of jammu and Kashmir.
