Australian journalist trolls Indians over Afridi’s tweet

Islamabad: Dennis Freedman, an Australian cricket journalist, is hugely popular in Pakistan and he never misses an opportunity to troll Indian cricket fans on social media.

When earlier this week Shahid Afridi angered Indian media by voicing his supports for the people of Occupied Kashmir, Dennis appeared to be rubbing slat into their wounds with his tweet.

“The amount of grief that Afridi causes India with bat, ball and tweets is unparalleled,” he wrote on Twitter, a day after Afridi’s message sparked a storm in India.

While his message was liked and retweeted by thousands of his followers , the journalist also got angry response from other side of the border.

Cricket fans from both the countries mocked each others’s team by posting memes and not-so-nice messages in response to Freedman’s tweet.

Afiridi on Tuesday wrote on his Twitter account: “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?”.

Indian media went into frenzy after Aridi’s condemnation of human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
