Awami National Party (ANP) Urges Pak & Iran Friendly Ties

PESHAWAR: Provincial President of Awami National Party (ANP) Ameer Haider Hoti has stressed the need for promotion of friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan, which he said were necessary for regional development.

He was talking to Iranian Consul General in Peshawar, Muhammad Baqir Begi, during a meeting held here on Monday.The ANP leader was accompanied by central finance secretary of the party Arbab Mohammad Tahir, provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak and information secretary Haroon Bashir Bilour.

Haider Hoti said that the brotherly ties between Iran and Pakistan were in the interest of the people of both the countries and further improvement in the relationship was the need of the time.

He underlined the need for effective efforts at the state as well as people level for improvement of ties among all the countries of the region including China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and India, which could result in durable peace in the regio
