KARACHI: After unveiling the party manifesto for general election Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday reached Lyari to kick off his election campaign.
BBZ is all set to contest his maiden polls from the port city’s Lyari constituency (NA-246), a stronghold of Pakistan Peoples Party. Upon arrival in Lyari, the Bhutto family scion stepped out of his car to respond to the slogans of his supporters. Addressing the gathering the PPP chairman vowed to fulfill all promises made in the party manifesto. “I will implement a programme through which people receive basic facilities on subsidised rates”, BBZ vowed to charged supporters who were chanting full throated slogans in favour of his party. “The nation will stand by me for my first election,” the PPP chairman said.
The PPP chairman also visited Lyari on Saturday to inaugurate his election office in the area. He is also expected to address his supporters in Dadu through hologram technology.
