China is all-weather and trustworthy friend of Pakistan: Tahir mehhmod Ashrafi

Islamabad: Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) said the Chinese government through its generous support to Pakistan in fight against COVID-19 has proved that China is our all-weather and trustworthy friend of Pakistan.

PUC chairman said China once again showed to the world that they are real friends of Pakistan, they care for us and we stand with each other at the hour of need. We thank the Government of China for sending a team of medical experts and relief assistance including test kits, masks, ventilators, protective suits and support to build an isolation hospital, Ashrafi added.

Ashrafi thanked the Chinese government for extending generous support to Pakistan in crusade against COVID-19 and sending besides physicians and medical staff, a consignment of medical equipment to contain the pandemic.

Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, appealed the people to remain confined to their homes, and strictly follow the directives of the Government of Pakistan in order to save their families from COVID-19 pandemic.

An 8-member medical expert team organized by the Chinese government arrived here on Saturday to help Pakistan fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The medical team also brought medical assistance including over 110,000 face masks, 5,000 protection suits, 12 ventilators and other medicines to Pakistan.

The team will stay in Pakistan for around two weeks and will also visit Punjab and Sindh provinces.

China had reached to the rescue of Pakistan at a time when the country itself has not fully recovered from the pandemic, Tahir Ashrafi added.

Ashrafi Paying tributes to the physicians, nurses and paramedical staff for playing a frontline role in the war against COVID-19, said that the nation which was safe because of the devotion, valor and professional competence of doctors community, would never forget their services and sacrifices.
