Czech Republic invites Pakistan to participate in air show in Prague

Islamabad: Ambassador of Czech Republic to Pakistan, Jon Fury, officially invited Pakistan to send its pilots to participate in air show which will be held in Czech Republic capital Prague in October 2016. He said Pakistan and Czech are strategic partners and his country wanted to expand these relations between military academies of both countries. He expressed these views while meeting with Minister for Defence Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain here in Islamabad on Thursday.

Welcoming the  Ambassador of Czech, Minister of Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain appreciated the Czech military support  to Pakistan’s armed forces like providing various equipment for the Air force and over hauling of Army Aviation assets. The meeting acknowledged the fact that both the countries have greater potential in the field of defense production which needed to be explored for the mutual benefits of the two sides.

Minister for Defense Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain Formally invited Czech Republic to take part IDEAS 2016 9th International Defense Exhibition which will be held at Karachi Expo Center from 22 to 25 November 2016. IDEAS 2016, being the most strategically important event of the region, will once again bring together all the industry’s players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. The 4 days of the Show are exclusively for trade visitors and high official defense delegates.

Rana Tanveer Hussain hoped that Pakistan and Czech Republic would pave a way for promoting and strengthening closer defence cooperation. The Ambassador admired the HIT Taxila and POF Wah. He mentioned about a previous agreement between Wah Brass Mill Pvt. Ltd. & M/s. Vitkovic Czech Republic for up-gradation of existing Brass Mill.. Czech Republic has long tradition of defence industry and reliable technology. Back in 2010 Pakistan and Czech Republic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase military and defence cooperation between the two countries.
