Islamabad: On the occasion when news are circulating in the Local Media that Federal Government is considering to ban Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), activities across the country the charity issued its annual progress report of its activities across the world. According to an Official of Ministry of Interior, the ministry had started serious consultations with all the stakeholders before banning FIF and a final decision would be taken on coming days.
The charity Falah e Insaniat Foundation (FIF) which is considered the Relief Wing of Jamat ud Dawa(JuD) headed by Hafiz Muhmmad Saeed issued an annual progress report to local media which details its activities across the world. According to press release which has been issued form its media cell in Islamabad, Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) has completed its Relief operations set by the organization in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Indonesia, Burma, Gaza, Syria, Somalia and East Timor in 2015.
According to details in these countries Projects like to provide Dry Meal, House hold things, sacrificial animals on the occasion of Muslim festival Eid ul Azha, winter clothes were provided. One of the senior member told that we provided winter clothes costing millions of Pakistani Rupees to people of Palestine on Gaza strip and to the Syrian Refugee residing on the borders of Turkey.
According to said member Falah e Insaniat Foundation (FIF) was the first Muslim relief organization who reached in Indonesia last year to help the Rohingya Muslims at the hour of need headed by its deputy head of mission Shahid Mahmood. During their stay in Indonesia the FIF team visited Burmi Muslim Refugees camps in Langsaah and Louk Samawa. Despite relief goods the main project of FIF was to provide the shelter homes to Rohingya Muslims.
According to Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) annual report of 2015, In Pakistan 1.5 million people were given free medical treatment at 157 free dispensaries and 6 hospitals. 2, 67,512 patients were medical checked up at 972 medical camps in 5 provinces. 57,000 patients and dead bodies were shifted to hospitals and homes under FIF ambulance service.
Over 500 wells, hand pumps and solar water pumps were installed for Tharparkar, Baluchistan, Gilgit, Baltastan, Jails and social welfare. Thousands of affectees took benefits of clean water. Over 80,000 beds & dresses were distributed in affected areas among other poor and needy people of country under provision dress and beds program. FIF held 77 eye surgical camps under save eye vision program.
15,000 patients’ eyes were checked up in these camps and over 2000 eyes were operated free. 19,000 sacrifices worth of 220 million Rupees were offered at Eid ul Azha meat were distributed in over 1 lakh Muslims of 8 countries. Sahr o Iftar was arranged for 95,000 people in Ramzan ul Mubarak.
772 major and minor operations were done. 32 Rescue training workshops were arranged in 24 cities where thousands of people were given training of first, fire fighting, and dead body management. Rescue centers were started in 8 cities, in last year.
It is reminded that On November 24, 2010 United States Department of State’s banned the Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) and included its head Hafiz Abdul Roof into the Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO). Then United States blamed that Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) is a front organization of Lashkar Taiba (LeT) and operating under the cover of Relief activities. But Pakistan did not ban the operations of Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) and with the passage of time FIF is now considered one of the leading indigenous charities of Pakistan.
