Islamabad: A high level delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Kashmir chapter headed by Gulam Muhammad Safi met with Chairman of Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Moulana Fazl ur Rehman at parliament house in Islamabad on Tuesday. The delegation on the occasion briefed the chairman Kashmir committee about the Indian atrocities which are continuing since 6th July after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen (Hizbul) commander Burhan Wani. They also presented written suggestion how Pakistan can highlight the Kashmir on national and international level.
The Chairman of Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Moulana Fazl ur Rehman has said Kashmir is a human issue and not a dispute over land. Therefore, even before emergence of Pakistan, different organizations were formed in support of the Kashmiris, who were braving the wrath of the Dogra Rulers. Chairman PKC said that Pakistan would continue its support to Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination unless and until the dispute was settled according to the resolutions of United Nations and in line with wishes and will of Kashmiri people. Fazal Rehman also promised to discuss the suggestions of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) with PM Nawaz Sharif.
The KC chairman made these assertions while talking to Hurriyat representatives who called on him here on Tuesday. Rehman while assuring his country’s unwavering support to K-cause said that Pakistan would step up its efforts to sensitize the international community besides highlighting the human rights violations being inflicted upon the people of Kashmir by forces.
Lauding the unprecedented sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri nation he said that it was high time that international community should take serious note of the worsening political and human rights situation in Kashmir and persuade government of India to resolve the lingering dispute to ensure durable peace in the region.
