Freedom Movement Deprives From a True Leader: JKLF Condolence Reference

Islamabad: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Azad Kashmir Chapter organized a Condolence Reference on Thursday to pay tribute to their beloved leader late Aman Ullah Khan a founder Member of Jammu Kashmir freedom struggle. Speakers were are the view that with the demise of  Aman Ullah Khan resistance movement deprived form a true leader who spent his whole life for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir. There was a consensus among the participants that Late Aman Ullah Khan never compromised his Ideology through out his life  but despite this he had great respect in all the circles of Kashmiri Movement.

Addressing on the occasion’s Pakistan People Party (PPP) law maker Senator Farhatullah Babar said that Late Aman Ullaha Khan was not a single man rather he was an institution and there is a hard need that his followers should preserve the asset which Aman Ullah Khan left in the shape of ideology and publications. He proposed to establish think tanks which collect the glimpse of Aman Ullah Kahan years long Struggle. He was not only the voice of victims of Jammu Kashmir but of victims all over the world, Senator Babar added.


In his presidential address Senior Vice Chairman of JKLF Mr. Abdul Hameed Butt hailed the role of Late Aman Ullah Khan in the freedom struggle who under his dynamic leadership not only revolutionized the freedom movement of Jammu Kashmirbut has always paved the ways to bring close with each other the leadership of the constituent parts of the State of Jammu Kashmir. Renowned Writer Hamid Mir said Amanullah Khan was a dynamic revolutionary politician, diplomat and writer, Amir of Jamat Islami Azad Kahmir Abdul Rashid Turabi called Aman Ullah Khan a national hero and the best thinker of Kashmir struggle movement.

Mir (Vice President Cross LOC Joint Chamber of Commerce), Amb Arif Kamal (Former Ambassador), Choudhry Arif (Central Leader PML-N AJK), Mr. Shabir Meaar (Dy. Convener GBDSF), Mr. Sajid Yousuf (Leader Kashmir Concern, Birmingham UK), Ms. Naila Khanain (Vice Chairperson UKPNP), Ms. Shamima Shawl (APHC-G) and Advocate Nisar A. Shah (Spokesman PAWP) also spoke on the occasion.


Following are the unanimously adopted resolutions passed on the occasion bythe participants:

1.      The meeting pays highest of tributes to the great national leader and Supreme Head of JKLF Mr. Amanullah Khan (Late) for playing the leading role in revolutionizing the liberation struggle of Jammu Kashmir (JK) through his undeterred and continuous struggle.

2.      The meeting remembers and pays tributes again to Mr. Amanullah Khan (Late) who in pursuit of freedom struggle of entire State of JK made his personal efforts in bringing close with each other all the constituent parts of the State of JKthat included Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), Azad Kashmir (AK) and Gigilt Baltistan (GB).

3.      Supporting the freedom struggle of the State of JK on the basis of right of freedom / right of self-determination and in order to reach upon the everlasting, peaceful, just and permanent solution of the Kashmir conflict through democratic means, the meeting emphasizes the urgent need of the serious, result oriented and time bound dialogue process between the representatives of India, Pakistan and Kashmir.

4.      The participants of this condolence meeting express their belief in oneness of the entire State of JK and reject any sort of solution against the wishes and aspirations of its people that included the division of the State.

5.      The meeting condemns the State terrorism of Indian forces in IHK and demanded of international community to play its role and make India stop human rights violations against the innocent and freedom loving people of Jammu Kashmir.

6.      The meeting also demands revocation of all those draconian laws in place in IHK that gives license to Indian forces to kill anybody and to unleash reign of terror in the State.

7.      The participants condemn unprovoked detention of pro-freedom leadership in IHK by Indian authorities throughpuppet State government and frequently placing entire Kashmirunder curfew like restrictions to stop and thwart the pro-freedom marches and anti-India protests.

8.      The participants of the conference strongly reject the construction of permanent separate settlements in Kashmir by government of India for Indian retired forces personnel, local Kashmiri pandits, non-local homeless people and allocation of land in favor of non-local industrialists that are actually aimed to bring about the changes in the demography of the State.

9.      The meeting praises and hails the efforts of Chairman JKLF, Mr. Muhammad Yasin Malik for taking an initiative and paving the way for bringing about the pro-freedom leadership in IHK to form a joint strategy in countering the Indian nefarious designs that are anti-Kashmir and anti-freedom struggle.

10.  The participants of the condolence reference pray for the highest of place in Heaven for Mr. Amanullah Khan and rest of the martyred.
