DUBAI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Zabeel Palace on Saturday.
General Bajwa and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum discussed a range of issues regarding the strategic relations between Pakistan and the UAE, as well as various other issues pertaining to the military and the ongoing regional developments.
General Bajwa expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed for the humanitarian assistance the UAE provides to Pakistanis living there and the highly-valued development projects implemented in Pakistan in line with the directives of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, WAM reported.
The Dubai Ruler praised the constructive and effective role of the Pakistani community in building and development of UAE. General Bajwa thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the charitable and humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE to the Pakistani people.
The meeting was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, among other senior government and military officials.
