Hafiz Saeed Continues Anti American Campaign as U.S. High Level Delegation in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed continued its Anti American campaign urging Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif to shoot down any American drones entering Pakistani territory, As a high level delegation of United States comprising and Peter Lavoy Senior Director for South Asian Affairs at the National Security Council, General John Nicholson, Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and Ambassador Richard Olson, US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan was here In Islamabad and met with the civil and military leadership of Pakistan in to repair the fractured relations with Islamabad.

Hundreds of Hafiz Saeed’s  followers on the occasion responded with the demand from army chief, “Army Chief Drone Girao Qom Tumary Sath Hay” Army Chief Shoot Down the Drone, the Nation is along With you”, “ Bahrat Ka Aik Elag Al-Jehad Al-Jehad”, The Only Way Forward to Treat India is Jehad”. We want to request the army chief and air chief to fulfill their constitutional duty to shoot down any drone which violates the Pakistani sovereignty, Hafiz Saeed added.


In his Friday sermon here in Islamabad harshly criticized United States policies towards Pakistan. He blamed United States that America has already stationed drones at the Indian bases and challenged Government of India to deny his claim. “I am telling you the US drones are stationed at Indian bases. I challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to deny my claim. Their intentions are not good,” said Hafiz Saeed.

After the Friday sermon a protest gathering led by Hafiz Saeed urged the Government of Pakistan Muslim League to order Air chief to shoot down pilotless American drone entering into Pakistan territory.  Two lawmakers of Pakistan upper house senator Talha Mahmood Jamiat Ulema Islam(s), former senator Syed Zafar Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League and Mian Muhmmad Aslam of deputy chief of Jamat –e-Islami also addressed on the occasion.

United States and India both blame jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed for masterminding 2008 Mumbai Attacks in which 166 people killed by Lashkat-e-Taiba Militants. The United Nations and United States has declared Hafiz Saeed as global Terrorists including a bounty $10 million for information leading to Hafiz Saeed’s arrest and conviction. But Hafiz Saeed denies the U.S. and Indian allegations saying he has not relations with Lashkar-e-Taiba and he only runs a charity organization Jamat-ud-Dawa whom relief wing is operational across the country.


Hafiz Saeed’s Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) is also an important component of Difa-e-Pakistan (Defense of Pakistan) Council (DPC) an alliance of 40 religious dominated organizations which has been restructured last week to halt Pakistan’s relations with United States on the eye of May 21 drone strike that which killed Afghan Taliban Head Mullah Mansoor Akhtar.

Difa-e-Pakistan (Defense of Pakistan) Council (DPC) has already announced a series of  Anti American protests in major cities, respectively 12th June in Lahore, 19th June in Faisalabad and 26th June in Gujranwala.
