Islamabad: Pakistan on Friday morning lodged an FIR against unknown terrorists in the Pathankot attack case. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab Police have lodged Pathankot attack case in Gujranwala. According to The News report the case has been lodged against unknown terrorists on the plea of deputy home secretary Aitzaz-ud-Din.

After the pathankot attack India identified Molana Masood Azhar head of Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) as the master mind of the attack and blamed his brother Mufti Abdul Roof was in touch of the militants. Pakistani security forces arrested the Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Molana Masood Azhar, his brother Mufti Abdul Roof and brother in law of Masood Azhar Ustad Abdul Rashid, the whole investigation remained continued for about a month.

The case has been registered after the special investigation team comprising officials from Intelligence Bureau (IB), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI), which formally recommended to the federal government to lodge an FIR on the basis of the information provided to the National Security Adviser Lt-Gen (retired) Nasser Khan Janjua by his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval.”

In its initial response India has shown  its disappointment quoted by Indian media. A senior government official said that, “it is a small step in the right direction. But it is disappointing that neither the name of Jaish e Muhmmad nor Masood Azhar was incorporated in the FIR,” quoted by the Economic Times.

Responding  the Indian response Rana Sana Ullaha provincial Law Minister of Punjab said today if anyone including Masood Azhar is found guilty of involvement in the attack, he will be prosecuted.

Soon after the attack India shared the details of Mobile calls of militants who entered the Pathankot airbase. According to Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) militants dialed six numbers in Pakistan, The numbers, including that of the mother of one of the militants killed, were dialed from the snatched phones of taxi driver Ikagar Singh and jeweler Rajesh Verma.

According to National Investigation Agency (NIA) the numbers stand in the names of Jaish-e-Islam, Saad, Molana, Mullah Dadullah, Khayam Baber (the terrorist’s mother) and Kashif Jaan. The numbers are registered with Mobilink, Warid and Telenor, pakistni Mobile companies.

Now for more evidence The National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India has decided to share the images of pathankot Airbase Attackers with Pakistan as India has preserved the bodies of the four militants killed in an encounter at the Pathankot airbase for an “indefinite period” reported by The Hindu. The bodies have been kept in deep freezers under “police protection.” They would be preserved till their identities are established, a senior official of NIA said.

India’s High Commissioner to Pakistan Gautam Bambawale confirmed on Thursday that National Security Adviser of Pakistan Nasser Khan Janjua is constantly in contact with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval on the developments regarding the ongoing investigations. Foreign secretary-level talks with Pakistan will start soon and India has not conditioned the talks with Pathankot attack investigation, Gautam Bambawale added.
