Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir National Peoples Party districts office bearers and Executives council members unanimously endorsed the return of kashmiri pandits to their home land. It was announced after a meeting which held at its head office in Srinagar on Monday. Special session of JKNPP was summoned after the visit of its chairman Syed Saleem Geelani to Pakistan. After consultation we fully support the return of Kashmiri Pandits because they were part of Kashmiri nationa and their return would be welcomed but no Israel type townships of hatred tolerated, said in a press release.
While briefing about the present visit of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir Syed Salim Geelani, Jammu Kashmir National Peoples Party said I was impressed by the sentiments expressed by the people. Recalling the meetings with Government official of Azad Kashmir, political and religious leaders and organization, Geelani said all in one voice assured me that no step would be taken which could jeopardize the interest of the Kashmiri people.
He said Pakistan stressed unity among the pro-freedom leadership to take Kashmir issue to its logical conclusion, adding, in this regard NPP will soon start a drive under which various meeting are proposed to be held with Civil Society and Pro-freedom leaders and political Parties.
Salim Geelani stated that Kashmiris have offered innumerable sacrifices for the right of self determination. He said despite facing enormous oppression Kashmiris have not given up their just struggle and demand for right to self determination.
Earlier During the session the delegates hailed the recent visit of its chairman Syed Saleem Geelani to Pakistan. While felicitating the chairman, the participants stated that during his visit Geelani stressed for the peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir. The session thanked the Pakistan and Azad Kashmir government particularly for extending Political and Diplomatic support to the Kashmir cause.
During the session the participants stated that under a well planned conspiracy some people for their political interests are pursuing the policies which would strengthen RSS and BJP plans practically on the ground.
The participants said in the name of KP’s and West Pakistan Refuges the India is trying to divert the Kashmir Issue, adding, no nonresident of Kashmir either from Pakistan or Indian will be allowed to live as permanent citizen of the state.
