Resistance leadership detained to prevent the march against NIA in New Delhi

Islamabad: In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have detained senior resistance leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to prevent them to lead the march of the joint resistance leadership (JRL) infront of the NIA headquarters in New Delhi.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had announced to court arrest at the NIA headquarters in protest against its cruel policies regarding the people of Kashmir.

Indian police arrested Muhammad Yasin Malik around midnight, yesterday, from his residence in Srinagar and lodged him at Kothi Bagh police station in Srinagar while Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq were already under house detention. Yasin Malik was shifted today to Srinagar Central Jail on judicial remand till Monday (September 11).

The puppet authorities have imposed restrictions in the jurisdiction of Nowhatta, Mahraj Gunj, Safa Kadal, Khanyar, Maisuma and Rainawari police stations in Srinagar to stop people from holding anti-India demonstrations over the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and the terror unleashed by the NIA against the Kashmiris.
