Kashmiri diaspora pledges to continue right of self-determination movement

Birmingham: Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed in the different areas of United Kingdom (UK) with the pledge that  Kashmiri diaspora will continue to struggle for the right of self-determination movement of oppressed Kashmirs. A conference in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day was organized by Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK in Pakistan Community Center Harrington Street Derby to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

On the occasion Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmad Bhat said that people of UK showed the world while making human chains, arranging seminars and Kashmir solidarity conferences that India is occupant and committing war crimes against the innocent Kashmiris who are fighting for their basic rights in Kashmir. He said when people across the world and particularly in UK stands by with K Kashmiri people to support their political struggle is giving them hope of freedom that someone is listening them.

President TeK UK Raja Fahim Kayani said that the people in UK want to know about the lockdown and communication blackout of Kashmir since August 5, 2019 and we must arrange more conference and seminars across UK to brief our MPs and councilors that Kashmir seeks their attention. Kayani further said that it is our duty to reach our elected representatives across UK and share the current sufferings IOJ&K residents with them. President TeK Europe Muhammad Ghalib and others also paid rich tributes to the people of Kashmir saying Kashmir is still on the agenda of United Nations Organization (UNO) and both UK and other western power must come forward to settle Kashmir for the permanent peace and security in South Asia.

In another Kashmir Day event a human chain was made in Startford Road Sparkhill in which hundreds of Pakistanis and British Kashmiris lined up on the one side of the road and were shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The protesters were carrying the banners and play cards inscribed with anti-India slogans like “we want freedom” and “go India go back”.

On the occasion speakers from TeK UK and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that human chain in Stratford Road Sparkhillan is an ample proof that people of UK are with Kashmiri brothers in their freedom struggle. ” Such gatherings and anti-India protests in UK is not only best tribute to the freedom loving people of Kashmir but a proof that the people of Kashmir struggle is genuine and complete political as per UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.
