Lahore: A large number of civil society activists along with doctors, lawyers and human rights activists held a protest rally in front of Lahore Press club on Thursday against United Nations’ recent decision of black listing Saudi Arabia led Islamic Military Alliance.
Addressing the rally speaker were of the opinion that King Salman bin Abdul Aziz is the protector of Yemani kids and Houthis terrorists are the killers of innocent Yemenis people including woman, kids and old ones. The protester said the decision of black listing Saudi Arabia is unacceptable. The protests demanded United Nations to draw attention to the crimes committed by the Houthis against civilians in Yemen.
The protesters carrying play cards and banners with visible slogans against United Nations dual approach towards Saudi Led Alliance. On this occasion, civil society members, social representatives and Lawyer leaders,and others addressed the procession.
Expressing their grave concern over the world body’s double standards the protesters demanded the immediate withdrawal of blacklisting tag on Saudi led alliance. Saudi Arabia intervened in Yemen only on the request of the request of Yemen President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
Advocate Jamil Faisal, Ali Imran Shaheen, Dr. Shahid Naseer, Hafiz Masood, Aslam Khan and others addressed the protest rally.
