Srinagar: Muhammad Rafiq Dar, chief spokesman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), said the best way to pay tributes to these national hero’s is to tread their path to fulfill their unfinished mission of independence. He said Freedom loving people of the State of Jammu Kashmir will not let the sacrifices offered by the martyrs go vain, and the term Baba-e-Quam Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru and rest of the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir as the crown of Kashmiri nation.
Rafiq Dar said that we owe it to Baba-e-Quam Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt who sacrificed himself by kissing gallows that not only brought this nation out of despondency but has also guided us path to follow. His martyrdom on 11th February, 1984 has made mothers of Kashmiri nation to give birth to thousands of Maqbool’s who day in and day out have been sacrificing themselves to keep the candle of freedom alive, expressed spokesman.
In the meantime, the spokesman very strongly condemned registering of new FIR’s against the JKLF cadre by the so called and forcibly imposed, and socially rejected local government and administration of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that India by the dint of force has and shall never be able to subdue the struggling people of Jammu Kashmir. Rafiq Dar while expressing his resolve said that for it being our democratic right, the people of the State will continue to pay homage to Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Muhammad Afzal Guru and rest of the martyrs, and will continue to demand for their remains that still are buried in Tihar Jail.
Furthermore, besides protesting against the Indian barbarism, State terrorism and the inhuman treatment meted out with the detainees, he emphasized that the struggling people of Jammu Kashmir will keep on demanding the immediate and unconditional release of all illegally and undemocratically arrested pro-freedom Kashmiris including the chairman JKLF, Muhammad Yasin Malik who is languishing in Delhi Tihar Jail in solitary confinement for the last ten months.
