Maulana Fazal Ul Rehman Urges India To Set Kashmir Commttee

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman paraised the current delegation who is on the visit of pakistnan led by the Indian Lok Sabha Speaker, Meira Kumar and urged them to establish the parliamentary  Kashmir committee on the patron of Pakistan.

 In a written statement quoted by the news, The Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, on Friday asked Indian leaders to constitute a similar committee in their parliament to resolve the issue of Kashmir.
he was also of the opinion that ,
“Durable peace in South Asia is not possible without resolving the Kashmir dispute. How can there be peace when Kashmiri people are being annihilated,” he said in a statement.
He further added
“We appreciate the noble sentiments and wishes of the Indian leaders but it is also an undeniable fact that despite repeated calls for friendship and neighborly relations between the two countries no headway whatsoever has been made in this direction due to the unsettled issue of Kashmir”.

 “Our relations remained volatile because India is not ready to resolve the long-running dispute of Kashmir that happens to be the core issue between the two nations”, Fazl said in a statement here on Friday. He said that “The Composite Dialogue was started about 15 years ago and many subjects have been discussed, but the issue of Kashmir has not even been touched as yet”, he said.
