Mirwaiz greets muslims on new islamic year

Islamabad: Chairman APHC and Patron Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema  Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday greeted Muslims of the world in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular on the beginning of New Year of Hijri calendar 1439 to seek blessings of Almighty Allah  in Muharram and throughout the year.

According to the statement issued to press, he said the first month of Islamic calendar Muharram reminds the believers to have self introspection of all their deeds and dealings and make alterations in themselves so as to get close to the path of Allah and Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

He said that one should worship individually as well as participate in the congregational prayers to seek blessings of Allah (SWT) in Muharram and throughout the year.

“Given the countless difficulties being faced by the Muslims across the globe including the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Muharram provides us a great opportunity to learn from the history of Islam and sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) to stick to the path of righteousness and justice, come what may.”

Mirwaiz prayed to the Almighty for easing the sufferings of all Muslims across the globe on New Year and sought end to sufferings of people of Kashmir.
