Islamabad: Mishal Malik the spouse of the imprisoned All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Yasin Malik said on Monday that India has not allowed her husband to meet his family for the last three years.
In a video message while reacting to the convicted Indian spy’s meeting with his mother and spouse, Mishal Malik complained that the same humanitarian gesture was never returned by the Indian occupation forces in Held Kashmir.
However, she praised Pakistan’s step of allowing the Indian convicted spy Kulbhushan Jadav to meet his spouse and mother at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She pointed out that several Hurriyat leaders had been kept behind the bars for a prolonged time and never allowed to meet their families, apart from the atrocities committed on them in the prison cells.
Ms. Malik said India went to the International Court of Justice to save its detained spy but never was worried about the mothers and sisters of innocent Kashmiris in the Indian occupied territory.
She also noted that Hurriyat leader Asiya Andrabi has not met her husband Dr. Qasim for the past 25 years, who remains in the prison cell. She charged Indian State harasses Asiya Andrabi through various means rather than arranging a meeting with her husband.
Ms. Malik said that the international community has shown silence over the brutality of Indian forces while India violates the humanitarian rights in the Occupied Valley on a daily basis by using even chemical weapons against innocent Kashmiris.
She lamented that Indian forces have kept her as well as her daughter from meeting Malik for the past three years and said, “a Kashmiri has no right to meet his wife and child; he is being treated worse than a convicted terrorist”.
