Pak Army high level delegation visits Afghanistan

Islamabad: A high level delegation of Pakistan Army on the directions of the Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa of Pakistan Army visited Afghanistan, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said on Thursday.
According to the press statement the delegation led by Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar during the visit, met with the Afghan army chief, General Muhammad Sharif yatif, acting defence minister Tariq Shah Bahrami and other officials and discussed measures on bilateral border coordination.
The Pakistani delegation conveyed condolence on behalf of COAS on loss of innocent lives in the Taliban attack on Afghan military base in Mazar-e-Sharif last week in which over 100 people were killed and expressed solidarity with the Afghan Army and people of Afghanistan.
The delegation held talks with Afghan officials and discussed bilateral boarder coordination issues and informed them that Pakistan would not allow its soil to be used against Afghanistan. Pakistan has complete control over its border areas and terrorists shall be defeated, it added.
