Pakistan and Romania Should Revive 1968 Accord to Enhance Bilateral Relations: Mr. Emilion Ion

Islamabad: Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, Mr. Emilion Ion met with Minister of State Engr Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman at Minister’s Office on Wednesday. On the occasion both the dignitaries talked about the education statuses in both the countries. During the meeting Mr. Emilion Ion Ambassador of Romania suggested State Minister that Pakistan and Romania should revive 1968 signed accord to promote bilateral relations including the field of education. Mr. Emilion Ion gave some practical suggestions to the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in order to renew the ties between the Pakistan and Romania.

Agreeing the suggestion of Romanian Ambassador, Federal Minister of State highly appreciated the efforts of  Mr. Emilion in this regard and admitted that they are many agreements signed among the countries which get shelved in the process. It would be our privileged to look into to your suggestions and then implement them in true letter and spirit, said the Minister. Engr Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman also

Ambassador of Romania also talked about the scholarships for Pakistani students. On that Minister of State said our students go to UK, USA, Germany, and China etc for higher studies and now we need to diversify their destinations and should include Romania in our list too. He also admired the medical education in Romania as it is one of the best in the world. Further he talked about the initiatives taken by the President of Romania for good governance etc.  They also discussed the current projects of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

In the end, Minister of State presented a book on the life of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and presented the shield of the Ministry to H.E Ambassador of Romania, as a token of appreciation.
