Islamabad: A high level delegation of All parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir Cahpter headed by chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation movement, Zaffer Akbar Bhat met with Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid here in Islamabad on Tuesday. The delegation was comprised Abdul Hamid Lone, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Advocate Parveez and Altaf Ahmad Bhatt while Secretary Information SM Imran Gardezi was also present in the meeting.
on the occasion Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid reiterating Pakistan’s official stance said Kashmir issue would be Resolved in accordance with United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that resolution of Kashmir dispute was imperative for durable peace and stability in the region.
Briefing about the present situation of Jammu and Kashmir chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Bhatt informed the Information Minister that India has planned to settle former army personals and Kashmiri pundits in separate townships and through this India wanted to change the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed the need that Pakistan should expose the Indian nefarious designs at international level regarding the Sainik Colonies.
Salvation Movement head thanked the government of Pakistan for their diplomatic and moral support across the world. All Parties Hurriyat Conference delegation praised the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for reviving the Kashmir issue which they said had become dormant under the regime of former president General Pervez Musharraf. APHC delegation also prayed for the health and speedy recovery of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Has highlighted the Kashmir dispute at all international forums including United Nations General Assembly and reminded the international community of its responsibilities in fulfilling the promise made with the People of Jammu and Kashmir.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif with his sagacity and statesmanship would mitigate the sufferings of the Kashmiri people as they have rendered unmatched sacrifices for their just cause of freedom from Indian occupation, the minister added. The minister also reiterated the continued support of the government and the people of Pakistan for the Kashmiris in their struggle for right of self determination.
