The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) in 3rd International “Message of Islam Conference” has conferred the award of “leading personality of the year 2017” to King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the conference declared Khadim-e-Harmain Al-Sharifain King Salman bin Abdul Aziz as the most favorite personality of Islamic World for the year of 2017, for his services to the cause of Islamic world and raising voice on the issue of Palestine.
Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi chaired the conference while Al-Sheikh Talal Al-Aqeel, Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Saudi Arabia, was the chief guest. Dignitaries and ambassadors of different Islamic countries, religious scholars, clerics and Mashaykh from all over Muslim world and Pakistan, including Al-Sheikh Dr Rashid Al-Zahrani, Palestine’s Acting Qazi-ul-Qaza Justice Victoor Mehmood, President International Islamic University Dr Ahmed Yusuf Al-Darvesh, Dr. Abdoho Attain, director Muslim World League or Rabita al-Alam Al-Islami, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliky, and Islamic Ideology Council Chairman Dr Qibla Ayaz participated the conference.
Through a joint declaration conference called on Iran to desist from interference in Islamic countries affairs and stop arming and recruiting terrorist militias. Participants underscored the importance of unifying the Islamic world to combat terrorism and extremism and highlighted the importance of standing by the side of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect the sacred places, topped by the two holy mosque as well as the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque in Palestine.
Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) conference called on the United Nations to take the necessary measures and observe the international order against the Houthi militias and their supporters. They denounced the repeated attacks perpetrated by the Houthi militias with ballistic missiles launched towards the Kingdom’s territories, considering the act as an attack against the heart of the Islamic nation, as the Kingdom is home for the two holy mosques.
It announced its unconditional support to the cause of the oppressed Syrians, Palestinians and Kashmiris, urging the world leadership to take action against state terrorism in Palestine, Syria and Kashmir. The joint declaration appealed to the religious and political leadership to unite against the enemies of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah, urging the government to take up Chahbahar Port issue with the Iranian government.
Saudi Ambassador to Paksitan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliky addressing the conference said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the centre of unity among the Muslims across the world. He said that the King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Ameer Muhammad bin Salman wanted unity among the Muslim Ummah and there was no change in the stance of Saudi Arabia on the issue of Palestine. Saudi envoy said that Pakistan & Saudi Arabia were tied in an eternal relation of friendship and Pakistanis had great respect and honor for Harmain Al-Sharifain.
The Saudi ambassador thanked the conference for declaring King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz as the Islamic World’s Personality of the Year 2017. The two countries are tied by the bonds of friendship and Saudi Arabia values Pakistan’s feelings for the Kingdom.
Sheikh Dr. Rashid Al-Zahrani, representing Saudi Arabia Ministry of Religious Affairs, said that the nefarious designs of elements who are out to create a rift among Muslims would face a humiliation. “Saudi Arabia is the epicenter of Muslims unity and no one will be allowed to play with the unity of Muslims,” he remarked. He said that the Custodian of the two holy mosques has been striving to maintain unity among Muslims and to expose those elements who want to divide Muslims on sectarian lines.
He lauded the role of Pakistan Ulema Council, saying that the council has been playing a highly significant role for the unity and strength of Muslims around the world.
Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki, reiterated that no power could weaken the lasting ties between Riyadh and Islamabad. “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have shown greater unity to banish extremism and terrorism and this is an explicit message to the enemy of both the countries,” he noted. He reiterated King Salman’s policy on the kingdom ties with Palestine, saying that his country’s stance on the cause of Palestine would remain unchanged. “Saudi Arabia will always standby and support the oppressed Muslims anywhere and everywhere,” Al-Malki noted.
Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Al-Darwesh, President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) in his speech, said that the Pakistan Ulema Council has always played a highly significant role to resolve problems being faced by Muslims elsewhere in the world.
“Unity is the message of Islam. Muslim scholars need to step up their efforts to spread the message of peace and stability,” he noted. He said that Islam stresses an end to extremism, terrorism and the scourge of sectarianism for greater peace in the world. Quoting an Hadith of the last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Darwesh says: “A Muslim is the one from whose hand and tongue others are safe.” He congratulated the Pakistan Ulema Council for playing a leading role to settle problems of Muslims around the world.
Dr. Abdoho Attain, director Muslim World League or Rabita al-Alam Al-Islami, said the Pakistani nation and its military have played a vibrant role for global peace. He said that Rabita al-Alam Al-Islami has been working to forge peace and harmony among various religions. The participation by thousands of religious scholars in the Conference is a clear message to the world that Islam and its followers want peace and stability in the world. He said that the entire world appreciated the role played by Pakistan for global peace and security.
Qazi Mehmood Khumais Hassan Al-Aboshi, a representative of Palestinian President, has delivered a vibrant speech, saying that some elements are out to create rift among Muslims. He said that the move by US President to shift US Embassy to Al-Quds is an aggressin, which will never be accepted by the Palestinians.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan never deceive Palestinians rather both the countries always extend their wholehearted support to Palestine in testing times,” he remarked. Even his Excellency King Salman has given the name of “Al-Quds Conference” to the Arab conference, which shows his love for Al-Quds, he said, adding that the custodian of the two holy mosques has announced millions of dollars for Palestine and its people.
He said that Palestinian people are satisfied that the Kingdom’s stance on Palestine is unchanged and those who have launched a propaganda only wants to create division among Muslims.
