Islamabad: Raja Najabat Hussain, chairman Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) warmly welcomed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir Ambassador Yousef M. Al Dobeay visits of Line of Control. A 6-members OIC delegation headed by Ambassador Yousef Aldobeay, Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary General for Jammu and Kashmir visited Chakhoti, Line of Control (LOC) on Wednesday.
The delegation was briefed on situation along LOC, Indian Ceasefire violations (CFVs) targeting innocent civilian population along the LOC. The delegation thanked Pakistan Army latest update along LOC and opportunity to see the situation.
The delegation also met with Azad Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan in Muzaffarabad. During his interaction with the media, he noted that the territorial dispute between India and Pakistan had always remained at the top of the OIC agenda, adding that its resolution was imperative for peace and security in South Asia.
He also urged the administration in New Delhi to bring an immediate end to the ongoing curfew in Kashmir and restore the fundamental rights of its people. Al-Dobeay pointed out that the OIC had always favored a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
