TTP splinter Jamaat-ul-Ahrar claims barbaric attack in Quetta

Quetta: Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) splinter group, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), has claimed  the responsibility of Barbaric suicide attack in Civil Hospital Quetta in which at least 70 people most of them were lawyers and relatives of patients killed on Monday at provincial capital of Baluchistan. A local TV channel AaJ News cameramen was also among the killed.

TTP spokesman Ihsan ullah Ihsan said that  both attacks first on Bilal Anwar Kasi and second in Civil Hospital Quetta targeted by his group’s militants. He announced to continue such attacks without clarifying any reason. The United States’s State Department has designated Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), a splinter group of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as Specially Designated Global Terrorists last week on 4th August.

Earlier Chief Minister Baluchistan, Sanaullah Zehri, has Blamed that Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is behind the Quetta terrorist attack. Talking to a local news channel after the blast, he said: “We have irrefutable evidence that RAW is involved in the Quetta blast and all other terrorist activities in Baluchistan.” He announced to hand over the evidence of RAW’s involvement in Baluchistan to the foreign ministry.

The blast occurred when lowers were mourning in the compound of Civil Hospital Bilal Anwar Kasi, who was apparently a victim of target killing shot dead early on the morning by unknown assailants. Baluchistan Bar Association (BBA) president, Bilal Anwar Kasi, was gunned down near Manno Jan road in Quetta city by unknown assailants riding a motorbike and ran away from the crime seen soon after targeting the BBA head.

President Mamnoon Hussain and prime Minster Mian Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the bomb blast in Civil Hospital Quetta and expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the tragic incident. The President extended his condolences to the bereaved families of lawyers, journalists and people belonging to other walks of life that lost their lives in the bomb blast and prayed for salvation of the departed souls. 160808075741_quetta_blast_976x549_afp_nocredit President Mamnoon Hussain directed the authorities concerned to provide best medical treatment to all injured in the incident. The President reiterated that terrorists through their nefarious designs can neither create hindrance in operation against terrorism nor deter the peoples’ resolve. The President said that terrorists will be dealt with iron hand wherever they are in the country.
