Resistance camp should chalk out a joint strategy: Salvation Movement

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement chairman, Zaffar Akbar denounced the state move to issue domicile certificates to refugees from West Pakistan and said that their permanent settlement in disputed land will prove detrimental for Muslim majority character of jammu and Kashmir. We will fight the sinister move and appealed to resistance camp to chalk out a joint strategy to foil the sinister move of PDP led coalition government. Our case is internationally acknowledged and no such move can be alloweded said Zafar Akbar. Salvation Movement chairman, Zafar Akbar Bhat was addressing the funeral prayers of Mohd Rafeeq and during his address to participants and mourners said that .Mohd Rafeeq was a very dedicated and well-wisher of freedom movement. While paying tributes to departed soul, Zafar Akbar said that late Rafeeq Ahmad was missing since last three days and today his dead body was found in a mysterious condition in Chadoora. He said that the bereaved family has urged a fair investigation in his death .Hailing the bereaved family fir their affiliation with freedom movement, Zafar Akbar said we feel this pain and extend our heartfelt condolences to bereaved family.

Earlier after his release after six months detention, Salvation Movement Chairman,  Zafar Akbar Bhat today visited the families of incarcerated  leaders including Shabir Ahmad Shah, Masarat Alam Bhat, Dr M Qasim , Aasiya Andrabi, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Ayaz Akbar , Noor Mohammad Kalwal and Shakeel Ahmad Bhat expressed his solidarity and sympathy .Today on a statement ,Zafar Akbar demanded immediate release of these leaders and others languished in different jails and in police stations.  Spokesman said that after his release from police custody, Zafar Akbar visited these families as a gesture of solidarity and said Salvation Movement and its leaders and activists stand by them and said they way the state administration is prolonging their detention is their ploy and they are appeasing their masters in Delhi, Zafar Akbar in his appeal to nation stressed for unity and stead fastness. He said that we should show our solidarity with the hapless families.
