Islamabad: United Jihad Council on Tuesday while slamming the decision of the Trump administration decision to designate Syed Salahuddin as “global terrorist” has dubbed it as a “mockery of international laws, the UN charter as well as the ground realities.”
“Syed Salahuddin is a symbol of the legitimate freedom movement in Kashmir. The decision against him aimed at pleasing India’s terrorist leader Narinder Modi is painful and unfortunate,” the statement says.
“Syed Salahuddin is leading a struggle of pro-freedom Kashmiris against Indian terrorism and the whole world knows that how brazenly Indian armed forces are involved in the worst ever human rights violations to perpetuate their illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
The UJC spokesman pointed out that almost all independent global human rights bodies were constantly testifying to the relentless human rights violations at the hands of Indian troops.
He expressed the hope that all “freedom loving nations” across the globe would also reject this decision.
“India should read the writings on the wall, and try to understand the fact that Kashmir freedom struggle has reached a stage where no one can weaken, let alone stop, it, because the whole Kashmiri nation is part of it,” he said.
