Islamabad: Hafiz Abdul Rehman Khalid son of Taliban leader Mullah Hibat ul Allah Akhundzadeh carried out a suicide attack along with 2 other associates in Greshek district of Helmand Province in Afghanistan killing scores of Afghan forces on Thursday, Prime News reported.
According to Prime News Agency the Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said on Saturday that Hafiz Abdul Rehman the son of Afghan Taliban Leader along with his two associates leading a three cars carvan loaded with explosive struck a large army base in the Greshek district of Helmand province on Thursday, in which scores of Afghan forces were killed or injured.
According to Helmand Police Spokesman, 16 Afhgan police personal including two commanders were also killed in a US air strike in the same district of Helmand province, on Friday when Afghan security forces were clearing a village of Taliban elements.
US and NATO Authorties in Afghanistan have confirmed the death toll in friendly strike and after expressing the deepest regret have ordered the probe in the incident.
