Turkey has great love and affection with the people of Pakistan: Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul

Islamabad: Mr. Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, said Turkey has great love and affection with the people of Pakistan, and the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Trust in Muzaffargarh has become the center of the fight against the Corona virus. He announced that masks, gloves, protective glasses and special quarantine uniforms will be provided for the employees of Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital.

Turkish Ambassador expressed these views while addressing a ceremony to hand over surgical masks to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) in fight against corona pandemic. 

The ceremony was held at the head office of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), on Wednesday. Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Khan, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Aon Abbas Buppi and TIKA’s Pakistan Head Gokhan Umut, were present on the occasion.

The Turkish relief organization Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has provided 50,000 surgical masks as a gift to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), for distribution among medical practitioners and paramedical staff who are engaged in duty to treat corona virus patients.

Turkish envoy said that Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) have been working with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) hand-in-hand for the betterment of vulnerable populace.

He announced that Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) will distribute food packets to 600 affected families by the corona outbreak in Lahore and Mardan on coming days.  He also appreciated the role of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), towards solving national issues linked with poverty and disease.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan addressing the occasion, said that Pakistan and the Turkish people always stand side by side with each other in times of need. Pakistan cannot forget the Turkish support during the 2005 earthquake in Azad Kashmir and 2010 floods in Pakistan.  

He appreciated the Turkish cooperation, highlighting the cordial brotherly relations between the two countries.

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Managing Director Aon Abbas Buppi thanked the ambassador and Tika for their generous cooperation with PBM and extending a gesture of care and protection to doctors and nurses, who are busy day and night providing medical care to Covid-19 patients.
