Rawalpindi; Chief of General Staff (CGS) UK Army, General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter arrived on two days official visit to Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ Rawalpindi on Friday, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to the ISPR statement, matters of mutual interest including strengthening of bilateral security and defence cooperation between the two Armies were discussed during the meeting.
Gen Nicholas acknowledged Pakistan Army’s achievements in fight against terrorism and continued efforts for peace and stability in the region.
Earlier on arrival at GHQ,Gen. Nicholas laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
According to the media sources visiting dignitary will address participants of National Security and War Course and participate as Chief Guest of 136th PMA long course passing out parade at Kakul on Saturday.
