Washington: Earlier, hours before the meeting between President Triumph and Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi the development surfaced that US State Department declared Hizb ul Mujahedeen chief Syed Salahuddin as a designated global terrorist.
Kashmiri leader Mohammad Yusuf Shah, alias Syed Salahuddin, is the Supreme Commander of of Hizbul Mujahideen, the largest and strongest militant outfit in IOK fighting against the Indian occupation.
Besides the fact that Syed Salahuddin has never threatened Us subjects of interests, and has only been fighting Indian troops in Indian held Kashmir.
As a consequence of this designation, US citizens are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with Salahuddin and all of Salahuddin’s property and interests in property subject to United States jurisdiction are blocked.
