Zulfi Bukhari allowed Pilgrim from Iran to enter Pakistan: Khawaja Asif

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Khawaja Asif has said that Special Assistant to the PM for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari, had allowed pilgrims from Iran to enter Pakistan.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Khawaja Asif, the PML-N parliamentary leader in the National Assembly, said that students were not brought from China due to the Coronavirus but the Taftan border was flooded by people which entered in Pakistan.

He said that Zulfi Bukhari allowed the visitors to come to Pakistan from Tafatan.

The PML-N leader said the government has no ability to cope with coronavirus, the corona virus has spread all over the country. on the other hand Special Assistant to the PM for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari rejected the allegations and stated “no influence was used by me or any other PTI leader to allow anyone on Taftan border- which isn’t even under federal control.”

He further added that instead of accusing each other we need to show national coherence and awareness during this crisis. After 53 more cases of Coronavirus were reported in Punjab and Sindh today, the total number of people infected with COVID-19 has increased to 237.

Today 24 more cases have been confirmed from Punjab, 15 more from came from Taftan to Sukkur tested positive, 7 in Karachi, 6 in Balochistan and a new case in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was reported.

It is to be noted that hundreds of people were declared clear and sent from quarantine centers in the Tafatan area of Balochistan, but now pilgrims arriving from Taftan Quarantine Center in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been tested positive. The number of people has increased to 249.
